Don Powell

Don Powell is a finance and real estate professional with a deep understanding of investment strategies and commercial real estate development. His career spans financial advisory, brokerage, and technology-driven real estate solutions. As co-founder of BZAiL, he is at the forefront of integrating AI into site selection, streamlining commercial real estate investment. His passion for community impact has led him to focus on affordable housing development, where he navigates complex financial structures and political landscapes to create lasting change.

Earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Valdosta State University and was a key player in the 2007 Division II Football National Championship.

Started his career as a financial advisor at a Fortune 500 company, specializing in financial planning, tax, and investment strategies.

Founded Millennia Capital Group, a commercial real estate brokerage specializing in medical sale-leasebacks, 1031 exchanges, and land acquisitions for VA hospital developers.

Leads innovative real estate technology solutions as co-founder of BZAiL, an AI-powered site selection tool designed to optimize commercial real estate investments.

Evan Shields

Evan A. Shields is the Founder, CEO, and Managing Partner of Indelible  Capital Partners, an impact-driven real estate investment and advisory firm  based in Miami, Florida. With a mission to invest $1 billion in real estate  assets over the next decade, the firm focuses on revitalizing communities  through the acquisition and development of mixed-income, workforce  housing, and build-to-rent assets across the Southeast U.S.  Throughout his career, Evan has led the investment, development, or asset  management of more than $4 billion in institutional commercial real estate across various property  types in 30 U.S. metropolitan areas. His work in affordable housing has provided homes for over 22,000  low-income seniors and families across 16 states.

Majored in Political & Social Thought from the University of Virginia

Received an MBA with a full-tuition scholarship from UNC-Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, specializing in Real Estate, Corporate Finance, and Social Entrepreneurship.

Began his career as a high school math teacher with Teach For America, continuing a family legacy of service in low-income schools.

Held executive roles in institutional capital markets, investor relations, and acquisitions with firms such as BridgeInvest, R4 Capital, and PGIM Real Estate.

Chairs the City of North Miami’s Affordable Housing Advisory Committee and serves on the boards of Miami’s Next Leaders, Teach For America Miami-Dade, and the Greater North Miami Chamber of Commerce..

Kris Harris

Kristopher Alexander Harris is the founder and managing partner of HK Ascensions Inc., a Florida-based real estate development and consulting firm. Since its establishment in 2020, the firm has successfully managed multimillion-dollar projects across diverse sectors, including multifamily housing, industrial warehouses, hotels, and private estates. Kristopher’s expertise in real estate development is complemented by his commitment to mentorship and industry leadership, making a lasting impact on both the built environment and aspiring entrepreneurs.

Holds an MBA from Florida Atlantic University and completed specialized training in Socially Responsible Real Estate Development from MIT Sloan Executive Education.

Led HK Ascensions Inc. to win the Stellar Business Award for Best Real Estate Development & Consulting in North Florida and South Georgia.

Active member of the Developing Leaders Program at NAIOP, a network for young professionals in real estate.

As the founder of BZAiL.Ai, he brings his expertise to the commercial real estate industry, addressing inefficiencies with AI-powered tools that streamline site selection and accelerate deal closings. His ability to identify industry gaps and develop cutting-edge solutions has positioned him as a leader in real estate technology

Founded Vendita Corporation in 2008, a Tampa-based software technology company specializing in enterprise automation.

Developed the Master Automation Solution (MAS), a proprietary enterprise software designed to enhance IT efficiency through automation and machine learning.

Led Vendita’s acceptance into the NewChip accelerator program in 2021 to connect with investors and drive business growth.

Founded BZAiL.Ai, an AI-driven real estate technology platform that empowers brokers and developers with data-driven decision-making tools.

Deepan Patel

Deepan Patel is a highly experienced tax attorney with a strong background in financial and international tax law. Currently serving at the IRS Office of Appeals, he brings extensive knowledge in tax litigation, financial regulations, and corporate structuring. His career spans both the public and private sectors, where he has advised financial institutions, government agencies, and multinational corporations. With a deep understanding of tax policy and compliance, Deepan continues to play a pivotal role in shaping tax regulations and providing strategic legal counsel.

Served as of counsel at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP, focusing on affordable housing, financial products, and international tax matters.

Provided legal advice and litigation support at the IRS Office of Chief Counsel, specializing in tax issues related to financial institutions and financial products.

Earned his Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law, studied at the University of Oxford’s Faculty of Law, and holds a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University.

Donald holds a Master of Architecture in Urban Design from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and a Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. His academic background includes design research focused on elderly urban environmental issues, city redevelopment, and vernacular housing typologies in Florida.

He is committed to equitable and sustainable urban development and actively engages in advocacy through the American Institute of Architects (AIA), local business communities, and youth mentorship initiatives.

Donald holds a Master of Architecture in Urban Design from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and a Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
